Peyvand Building
The project involves the design of a building façade in Tehran, drawing inspiration from traditional Iranian architecture’s use of “iwan” (arched open space). The design incorporates elevated terraces strategically placed to control sunlight and pays tribute to the climate-driven concept of elevated courtyards. These high terraces serve as beautiful outdoor spaces connecting the apartments and the surrounding nature. Additionally, the courtyards feature cypress trees, reminiscent of traditional Iranian garden design.
A notable feature of the project is the use of white materials, creating a sense of depth and enhancing the interplay of light and shadow throughout the day. The project was led by Ali Jenabian and executed by Hooman Zand, who handled material selection and rendering. The end result is a visually stunning and well-integrated architectural design that artfully blends tradition with modernity.
