Eco-Park Boumehen

Boumehen Ecopark

The Boumehen Eco-park project is a landscape architecture initiative aimed at transforming the underutilized tourism potential of Boumehen, a city with a favorable climate and close proximity to Tehran. Led by Hooman Zand and Ali Jenabian, this project seeks to establish Boumehen as a significant leisure and cultural hub.

The design of the Eco-park integrates seamlessly with Boumehen’s urban fabric, shaped by its geographical axes to ensure effective connectivity. The project addresses the city’s natural constraints, such as its mountainous surroundings and existing urban sprawl, by creating a multifunctional space that offers recreational opportunities for locals and attracts visitors. Spanning 120 hectares of largely undisturbed land, the Eco-park is meticulously planned in accordance with Boumehen’s zoning regulations. It utilizes the sloped northern terrain and the adjacent Luran River valley to minimize urban sprawl, enhance the local landscape, and improve the quality of life for residents. The design promotes sustainable tourism and emphasizes ecological preservation while providing leisure amenities. The project embodies a harmonious integration of architecture, topography, and community, aligning with Boumehen’s vision for responsible urban development.
