Esfandiyari Interior design

The interior design concept for a residence in Germany, housing a family of three, was rooted in the aspiration to create a space that exudes warmth and intimacy. Our approach commenced with the careful selection of wood as a primary material. Wood, with its innate connection to humanity and its temperature affinity to the human body, became a fundamental choice.
The design direction embraced simplicity, with furniture selections predominantly in shades of gray. This deliberate choice accentuates our emphasis on framing the picturesque landscape and capturing the beauty of the exterior surroundings. Even within the kitchen area, we sought to maintain this connection with nature by incorporating warm-toned wooden countertops that infuse the living spaces with vitality when illuminated by natural sunlight.
Notably, an exception to this design language can be found in the daughter’s room. Here, we employed a palette of green and blue tones to create an atmosphere that instills hope and tranquility, fostering an environment tailored to her needs.

This cohesive design narrative was meticulously crafted in 2023 by our interdisciplinary team, led by Hooman Zand and Sheyda Taghizadeh, at Atelier 13, an architectural and urban design studio committed to innovative living spaces.
